The extended frame is sensitive to wind direction changes, especially in light winds. It turns more easily and keeps the windsock headed into the wind like a weathervane. The frame holds the windsock open fully so it will “fly” in lighter winds. It is constructed of all welded steel with two ball bearings. The frame is mounted to a 1-inch diameter support pipe threaded to fit a ¾-inch size pipe or conduit.
