Though small in size, Sky Ox is not limited in scope; for nearly 40 years the Sky Ox brand name has been marketed and sold worldwide. 

Assets of the original Sky Ox firm based in Benton Harbor, MI were purchased in 1993 and integrated into its parent company, AirCraft Industries. Its tradition of quality and fast turnaround times were not lost, however. AirCraft Industries- owned and operated by Walt Smiles, remains a dedicated and personal company. Sky Ox understands a pilot’s needs, which enables an excellent product along with great customer service.

About AirCraft Industries

Founded in 1993, AirCraft Industries is a closely held, privately owned company located in an industrial park near Edwardsburg, MI. The firm is nestled among the inland lakes of southwest Michigan just north of the Indiana border and within an hour’s drive of southern tip of Lake Michigan. The company, which employs between 20 and 30 people full time, includes two operating units (Sky Ox and Christianson Industries) that serve diverse industries including the recreational vehicle, sporting equipment, gardening/landscaping, and aircraft industries.

Christianson Industries

Also founded in 1972, Christianson Industries is a custom fabricator (welding, roll forming and finishing) of aluminum components for the RV industry, which is heavily concentrated in Lower Michigan and Indiana. The product line includes quality extruded aluminum ladders, customer grills, plus bicycle racks designed for pop-up campers. Other products include decorative flower carts and wagons for indoor and outdoor use. They are fabricated from rustic wood and anodized metals.
